Laura Chadwick

Laura Chadwick is an Australian registered Architect, working as a development manager for Truland Development in Sydney, Australia. Having registered as an Architect in NSW, Laura worked providing Architectural consultancy, design management & client representation for private & commercial clients, drawing on experience as an Architect, to provide insightful advice for developer clients.

Laura gained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Architecture (Part I) in 2007 at Leeds Metropolitan University, England; completed 14 months of Part I experience at an Architectural firm in Yorkshire, before completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture (Part II) in 2010, gaining a merit in design for her thesis named 'The Void'. 

In 2010 Laura moved to Sydney, Australia and took an Architectural Assistant position, equivalent to UK Part II with Utz Sanby Architects. Over the next 4 years, Laura worked on a diverse range of high end residential projects under the guidance of Duncan Sandy and Kristin Utz including; single family houses, weekend retreats, downsizing, heritage and alterations & additions with a focus on holistic solutions that meet the brief, budget and complement the site. In particular, Laura was the project Architect on two houses from concept to completion 'Kangaroo Valley House' & 'Manly Lagoon House' gaining valuable experience in the client and contractor relationship. Laura progressed to a fully qualified Architect, registering with the NSW Architects Registration Board in early 2014.

Throughout 2015, Laura worked as a senior Architect, working for Annabelle Chapman Architects. Laura was responsible for project allocation with an overview of all projects within the office, reporting directly to the managing director. Laura remained focused on detailed documentation, and gained valuable on site experience with the 'Paddington House', and 'Bondi Junction House'.  

Early 2016, Laura moved to England and took up various opportunities; including a short stint at SixTwo Architects in  Manchester before working as a Development Manager for various private investors. Projects remained predominantly residential spanning one off houses, to large scale residential developments. Laura started her own company Chadwick Associates Ltd in April 2017. 

Laura  is currently registered with the NSW Architects Registration board and has remained a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, holding an International Chartered RIBA membership.
